JYD INTRODUCES NEW
SIDEWINDER JACK SYSTEM
DEVELOPED FOR FAST AND STURDY STABILZATION AND LIFTING MOTOR VEHICLES
“For many years rescuers
were looking for a quick, easy way of stabilizing and lifting” states inventor
and Vice President Jim Lingg. “The
SideWinder can not only stabilize
more effectively, it can lift when needed in many different ways”.
Based on a true and tried
design, the SideWinder was engineered
to hold greater weights and have features that work under extreme rescue
conditions. A scissor jack at
heart, the SideWinder has changeable
heads, a carry handle, wide polymer coated base, an attachment clevis, roller
bearing drive train, a unique rod-in-tube screw mechanism, a carry handle and
safety pins allowing the head to pivot.
The
SideWinder is tested to hold over
15,000 pounds and is rated for a 7,500 pound working load limit.
Used in pairs or a system of four, the
SideWinders can stabilize and lift a
vehicle on all fours, on the side, or on a roof.
Powered by a hand operated Speedy Wrench (included), 2,500 pounds of
force can be generated. The drive
receptacle accepts a ½” socket, so other drive devices can be used to create
maximum force lift capabilities.
A positive locking thread
device, the SideWinder is very
effective and can be used in conjunction with the JYD Rescue Struts for optimal
lifts. Weighing just 19 pounds,
each SideWinder provides eight inches
(22 cm) of lift, enough space for safe and affective patient removal.
“The
SideWinder will be a welcome device
to any rescuer’s arsenal” says ESI/JYD President John K. Evans. “This device is
easy to set up, simple to use and has many applications in the rescue field.
It will be a must-have tool on every rescue vehicle”.
