On April 11th at 07:30 am Pittstown Fire and EMS were dispatched for a traffic accident on Johnsonville road near the intersection of Croll rd.

Assistant Chief Mencucci was the first to arrive and confirmed one female occupant pinned with the vehicle on its side.

Once the SUV was stabilized  (using the JYD Z -STRUTS)Firefighters, under the direction of Chief Jason Harris removed the roof from the jeep and pulled the dash from the victims lap with hydraulic spreaders , chains and a saw zall.

Mohawk ambulance provided ALS . The extrication took 20 minutes and the patient was transported to Albany Medical center by life net 71. (Helicopter).

The patient suffered from exposure  possibly being trapped for over one half hour before fire and ems were notified. The female occupant also suffered from a broken leg and various other abrasions.
