JunkYard Dog Industries™, a division of ESI Equipment, Inc., is a manufacturer of specialty Fire/Rescue/EMS products.  Conceived from a need by rescuers, JYD Industries™ founder Jim Lingg developed a simple but very capable stabilization rescue strut that was used locally in the central Pennsylvania area.  Other specialty product bags were requested, and additional products were developed.  Over the years, the JYD Rescue Struts became increasingly popular and ESI began marketing throughout North America.

With national exposure increasing the demand for products, ESI began managing the production of Struts and Bags which remains located in Pennsylvania, USA. Various equipment dealers ensure effective distribution both nationally and internationally.
